Anonymous asks: How often do you smoke while you're at school? Where do you buy your cigarettes and what brand?

depends on how i’m feeling or how stressed i am. camel 100s or turkish gold. you can buy cigarettes literally anywhere in nyc but they are far cheaper in mn and at least half the price in pennsylvania (where i visit my friend at his school).

tomorrow i am nineteen

Start ignoring people who threaten your joy.
Literally, ignore them.
Say nothing.
Don’t invite any parts of them into your space.

life update!
this is what i look like when i write ever since i finished ‘run river’ aha
'run river' is wonderful and beautiful and really so sad and i wish i'd started there as far as joan didion goes, instead of with 'the white album.' work has been quite slow lately and so i've been able to do lots of reading, which is nice but can become boring. right now i'm working on 'the broom of the system' and am trying to track down 'play it as it lays.' sorry for all these single quote marks.
these sunglasses cost me $12.99 and the lenses are 2.5” long
i am presently being forced to read this book by a therapist who i will see again tonight
i won first place for chocolate chip cookies that i baked for the county fair
in the mail on saturday i received a 3d printed bracelet with my name on it. it was free and i got it here and it’s very cool.
i’ve just bought my ticket back to new york for my fall semester. instead of driving there and back this year, i’ll be flying. this makes me nervous but i know it’s necessary. it’s just a big movement.
our cat cameron wakes me up every morning with her incessant (if progressively listless) meowing, even before my alarm is set to go off.
go try a reese’s peanut butter cup oreo right now, if you haven’t yet.
saturday i turn nineteen and in the evening i am going to a baseball game because my dad is playing a show there. i was supposed to invite brennen but i can’t get my shit together enough to go out with any friends or respond to others so it looks like i’ll be going alone because i’ve not even asked. i’ve seen no one so far this summer but my family and coworkers. mostly i’ve been writing and cooking and sleeping and reading and shopping but not buying much anything. i do my family’s grocery shopping which i want to count as an activity but the therapist says no. i have to see her again tonight but it is costing a lot (as far as the co-pay goes) so i think it might be the last time i do, though i do need to see my regular doctor about the medication she’s prescribed me, the first medication on which i’ve ever been, and thereby the first medication to make me right nervous. i am not excited to be getting older because it only makes me feel less productive.
bless you, if you’ve read this whole deal.
